In the wordpress backend, I have a field which is recurring. It allows me to enter multiple entries for the same field. Each time I need a new entry for that field to tag a new "Band" as a support act at an event, this field allows me to do it. It's currently a dropdown field and it should be autocomplete or autocomplete dropdown and only allow an entry for a field that is in those returned on the list.
