Dear Professor,
My name is Dr. Rayomand Vatcha and I did my PhD from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with research focus on Motion planning of high DOF robots in Completely unknown and unpredictable environment. I have published 3 Workshop papers, 5 conference papers in IEEE and 1 journal paper in Springer's Autonomous Robots. My advisor was Dr. Jing Xiao (UNCC) on whose site you could find my published papers.
After PhD, I had join a small robotic's company in USA called CoroWare where we have been developing Customized Robots for the following kind of Customers:
a) Universities: Graduates often need to test out their algorithms and need sophisticated robot instead of a roboust one as their projects last short term and so will the cost of robot. Note that atmost they would like to embed on-board CPU with the robot. Such robots have been built in CoroWare and were named as CoroBot CL2, Corobot CL4, CoroBot Jr and explorer.
b) Industries: Such Engineers would like to have test platforms in further refining their product, so the robot need not be sophosticated but needs to be highly customized and semi-robust in nature taking into budget constraints.
I am writing to you because I enjoy doing anything relevant to path planning + time domain = Motion planning. I had been TA for image processing class where I had a chance to work on Matlab. My prime programming laguage is C# and Java.
Additional details available upon request.
Regards,
Rayomand
