Php mysql site (design html+css provided)

Will be doing only html / ajax since we may want to do a downsized web browser edition also for easy usage on mobile phones. We have the HTML+CSS slices of the site design ready. Site function: The site basically sells branded goods, and they call the sales as EVENTS because they have limited stock at much cheaper than stores price e.g. a bag could be S$3000 in store, but on the site, it is $2000. But only 10 pces etc. Every time they have an event, coming up, they will show a sneak preview, but NOT list all the products so users will standby e.g. at 12pm 1st March 2010. Once 12pm hits, they refresh and see the products and buy since all limited [login to view URL]://www.r e e b o n [login to view URL] There can be multiple events ongoing, and it will also show what's upcoming next... They don't show the number of stock so users will want to buy asap as maybe it will be gone next minute. Also, once sold out, they will show on the products list as sold out. After event is closed e.g. 1 day event or 2 days event, the event will be archived, http://www.r e eb o [login to view URL] Certain products will be "re-released" under [login to view URL] e bo [login to view URL] e.g. unsold stuff for users to express interest, like pre-order. Once buyer confirms order, send to paypal for payment, and email admin for delivery. we also need a preview function in backend so that we can see how the "launched" event page looks like, and also, be able to use a calendar dropdown to scehdule the postings. can you look at [login to view URL] see how their scheduler looks like. Social media function: we will need the events section to allow entering a description for facebook / twitter annoucement posting (could be something like [login to view URL]<140 characters> [login to view URL]<URL>&t=<140 characters> ) so that it is easy to annouce the event to those 2 services (we will have a facebook fan page and a twitter account). # Pre Login - Home page - clean design, rotatable image gallery to preload images for background. # Pre Login - User login module, with Request for membership module. # Pre Login - TOCs, About Us, etc... # Post Login - Top menu to include Missed events, Current Events, Upcoming Events, User Profile editing etc # Post Login - Top Half for Random selection of events to be displayed # Post Login - Bottom Half section for current Events on Left with countdown timer, followed by Upcoming Events, with countdown timer, towards right. # Post Login - Footer to include sitemap etc # User Profile: Admin will approve membership. Email fired to user to fill up details, mailing address, and to allow pre propogating of credit card details (masked upon submit), linking to Paypal to speed up purchase. # Events: Product shots on top, with product listing across gallery scroller. # Events: Admin can schedule event date / time to "live". # Events: Recommendation engine on right, display products other users have viewed based on viewing that current product. # Upcoming Events / Post Events: Will only show teaser image and description but no access to product gallery. # Within Events, admin can add products / images / description, event Twitter message, event Facebook status message. # Events: Cron job to check schedule and "live" the events as well as post to Twitter and post to Facebook. # Products: Products sold on Paypal confirmation basis. To prevent "hogging" of item, items added to shopping cart are not removed from inventory quantity. When in shopping cart view, item quantity status will reflect and auto-refresh at 10 seconds interval - Green (large quantity left), Orange (medium quantity left) and Red (almost sold out). Only upon post of data to Paypal will item be locked in processing with an iframe of Paypal payment page. There will be a 5 mins timer shown in checkout page after user clicks Pay. User has 5 mins to enter Paypal / CC information after which item hold expires and returns to inventory. Once payment done, item removed from inventory and stock updated.
