Note to Bidders:
We STRONGLY prefer dealing directly with independent developers or small boutique software development firms who are not afraid to subject their code to inspection and who can pass a rigorous Agile engineering interview with one of our lead Agile Engineering Trainers. Additionally, you MUST have exceptional English and Agile collaboration skills.
Our Project:
We are a consulting firm that teaches and coaches larger companies how to effectively adopt new innovation and software engineering development practices.
We have designed a mobile/web app that allows our trainers & coaches to capture customer and team behavior data as well as manage our training engagements with clients. Think of this app as 1/2 Survey App (capturing field data like an "auditor" doing field observations of team behaviors) and 1/2 light weight project management... where the "project" we're managing is NOT software development.. instead what we are "managing" is our training and coaching activities.
We have 80% of all screens designed in high fidelity wire-frames (I'm estimating there are approx 15-20 unique screens in the app. We have 60% of the user stories written and we have user workflows captured to help provide context for the common interactions and work-flows of a trainer/coach as well as customer (the customer work-flows are basically logging in to see dashboards and progress reports.)
We are wanting to use StackMob to speed development so that all server / cloud based data is abstracted cleanly as an RestFul API. This will also allow us to evolve our data model over time without having to hassle with managing the data model. We think using StackMob will allow us to build this app quickly... with the right partner a few weeks is not out of the question.
Project Requirements
Our goals are:
One HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript code base + StackMob "in the cloud" that allows us to deliver a "near native" device experience across:
1. iPad & Android Tablets
2. iPhone and Android SmartPhones
3. Browsers
Our contract will require:
Non-disclosure
Non-compete
Full ownership of Code
Use of GitHub for daily builds
Full Test Coverage (we are BIG proponents of Agile practices)
Use of Agile methods (User Stories, Automated Test Coverage, Daily Builds, etc.)
