The project is to develop and provide the source code for a standalone java program for taking a multiple layer drawing description and produce an eqivalent multiple layer SVG. The program input is a multiple layer drawing description in JSON. The output is the eqivalent multiple layer SVG. The JSON to SVG conversion is incorporated in an existing system in which the user's browser undertakes the conversion using a Javascript program and Javascript libaries. Full source code access is provided to the existing Javascript code and libaries as well as several JSON image description files for verification and testing. The existing implementation assumes access to the browser DOM, the standalone java program is to only generate standard SVG.
