OBJECTIVE: Transform our poker website ([login to view URL]) from its current basic design into a professional and elegant web magazine/community/portal site. The design should give readers the impression that they are visiting a top-rate online publication, like the New York Times or Salon Magazine. A couple other sites we really like are [login to view URL], [login to view URL], and nolo.com. However, we do not want our site to be too “busy” looking or too cramped with stuff. Many of our readers are new to the internet so we want something intuitively user-friendly and uncluttered (think more in terms of the simplicity of Google and Digg, and avoid the clusterphobic Yahoo! or Craigslist look). REQUIREMENTS: Designer must have strong CSS 2 skills, especially positioning (the layout should be done in CSS and not tables), and code must be compatible in the latest versions of IE, Firefox, and AOL browser. Final website must be valid xhtml and CSS 2 coding. PHP template experience a big plus. Drupal experience a plus. We must see a portfolio with references before we begin. PROJECT OVERVIEW: This project consists of delivering 5 types of static HTML pages and 1 site-wide stylesheet. The static HTML pages will be i) Homepage: [login to view URL] ii) Articles page: [login to view URL] . iii) Room review page: [login to view URL] iv) Profile page: [login to view URL] v) Forum home page, topic list page, and topic thread page: [login to view URL]; [login to view URL] ; [login to view URL]; For more detailed information, please download the complete [login to view URL] file on what is expected of each of these pages. Please do NOT bid without reading the RPF file and giving us a portfolio to look at.
