help with hylafax configuration and install of MPI

I have a faxserver installed with Hylafax+ on a CentOS Linux 5.4: I need to fix Hylafax:' There is a problem with Ghostscript with the fonts to be used from Hylafax. And fix mpi (Menu Port Interface) to detect the adapter and the modems (digi acceleport PCI xem adapter) I have installed mpi from rpm. But it does not find the adapter. As I remember a coder was helping me on another server on a similar problem, and he said he need to recompile the driver and it worked afterwards. But I am not very familiar with compilations and installations and need some help with explication to do it by myself in the future. A coder is very welcome, who will work with installations with us in the future also.
