We have a VMWare ESXi 4.0 running with multiple VM's. At first we had one physical NIC/VLAN (and 1 vSwitch). Now we have a second VLAN/NIC (and a second vSwitch) connected to the ESXi server. The problem is that when I assign a VM to that second vSwitch and configure an IP address on that VM, it doesn't work. I can't ping to the VM and the VM can't ping to the default gateway. When I create a VMKernel port on the second vSwitch and configure an IP on that management interface, it DOES work. I can't figure out why the VM's won't have a working network connection on that second vSwitch though. The VM's are running Linux CentOS (most of them with cPanel). We're looking for someone who has experience with VMWare (ESXi). If you manage to solve this issue properly we might have more jobs in the near future. More details (such as IP/subnet info) will be provided when we accept your bid. We want this problem to be solved as soon as possible. Thank you for bidding.
