Hi guys, I need someone to build me a simple Twitter listener application that does the following: - Connect to Twitters streaming API (preferably using Tweepy - [login to view URL]) - Check for Tweets for a number of hashtags - Calculate how many tweets have been published per hashtag in the last hour, last day, last week and last month - Enable me to see the above number per tweet in some kind of dashboard, terminal or excel (nor formal requirement, whatever is the cheapest way) I will provide you with the hashtags and a twitter handle. The rest is more or less up to you. I only want to be able to change the hashtag the application looks for at a later point in time. Bonus: If you are able to filter for unique tweets (only count a single user's tweets once per day) that will qualify you for an extra payment. Good english communication is required. I have made similar systems in the past, which used Twitter streams to store and analyze tweets containing specific words and hashtags. For your purpose, I have the following architecture in mind: - A server that streams tweets for specified hashtags, and stores the pertinent details in a database - A simple dashboard that will enable you to manage the hashtags you wish to monitor, and view near-realtime statistics for them. - The requirement to count a each user's tweets only once certainly sounds doable as well. - The above could all be run locally on your machine, or we could discuss options for deploying online as well.
