Hi, I need a flash utility program that would help me communicate with an embedded device. The communication is handled in a separate library, all I need at this point is the desktop app on top of that. The library is written by me and it's still a work in progress, we can work together to adjust stuff is need be. I have a command line interface build on top of the library which is good starting point as an example for integration, but I'm also willing to support you with any questions or suggestions you may have. The app needs to run on both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) mostly because we generally don't use Windows but some of my clients do. Attached is a mockup of what I want, but we can diverge from that if it requires custom design (given a specific API). The UI needs to be clean and modern but I don't want to diverge from standard layouts/UI patterns. The app is not intended to be released publicly, rather it will get distributed mostly within my organisation and to some few external colaborators.

I have +10 years of experience in Python programming. I have worked on an AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) project for a customer who wanted to manage his taxi service before. Especially when you have a command line tool which can be used as middle layer between us. As Python programmer, what I make would be simply used on Windows, Linux and Mac.
