Sync up Video File with Recorded Data using VB6(repost)

We are the manufacturer of a data logger which records data 100 times per second. We want to be able to "sync" this data with a HD Hero2 video camera which can record wmv files. The sync does not have to be perfect. If you can suggest some method of sending a signal to the data logger at the start of each camera recording session. During playback, we would need to know how to display each individual frame at a particular time from start of recording. We're open to various methods which you could suggest. We need the code to be in VB6, unless the code is so simple and small it can be easily converted.
