Hello, I have done multiple re-configuration/re-development of existing features for different clients, so I know how to ensure a smooth transition after making changes. For an instance, one client was using Lead object in Salesforce for every kind of initial info for his business. Over time, fields were added and different types of info were handled using record types. However, over years the company grew multi fold and single Lead object became bloated and client started experiencing crashes on record updates because multiple process used to run even on a single update. I was then entrusted to break down the Lead record into separate custom object and move process/validations/triggers related to each record type separately and keep common feature shared between these new custom objects.
