We are using a Software Defined Radio (SDR) device in UHF frequency range (around 915MHz) to read the Radio Frequency (RF) messages sent and received between a RFID Reader and a Passive Gen2 RFID Tag. The SDR’s antenna and the RFID Reader’s antenna are adjacent to each other. The RFID reader transmits a request message and the RFID tag responds. The RFID Reader software on a windows computer, connected to RFID Reader via ethernet or USB serial, reports both request and response correctly and are human readable. SDR Device, connected to same computer on a separate software, is also reporting the transactions with timestamp on a separate software. We see the SDR Device messages output in our software with time stamp, but the messages are not human readable. We need help in decoding/interpreting the output from SDR Device. We will need to be able to tell the difference between which messages were sent from the RFID Reader and which messages was sent back from the Passive Gen2 RFID Tag(s).
