For a 2(3)-months project we need a senior Scala developer to join our team. During this period we will implement our Subscription model (payment, premium content, authentication procedures) for our product www.hoolio.com. A fascinating product that takes fitness workout from home in a new dimension adding social (workout online with a friend), curated content and making it measurable. Our platforms aims to disrupt online fitness as we know it. It integrates cutting edge technologies and services to produce a unique workout experience to fitness enthusiasts around the world. We are connecting your home devices, fitness equipment and wearables to make your workout accountable and bring your workout friends on screen for a shared experience. If Scala, Ember.js, WebRTC, iOS, healthkit, TvOS, apple watch, ring a bell to you, at emaginal that’s what you will be dealing with. As part of the backend team you would be able to design and implement new features for our platforms (Scala, Rest Services, Akka, mongoDB, etc.), build integrations with top video streaming technologies and work on scalability / performance problems. The clients you will serve are: - Web - iOS, - appleTV (TVOS) app - OperaTV Your Tasks: - Design and implement new features for backend (Scala, Rest Services, Akka, mongoDB, etc.). You will be involved in designing features, not just implementing them. Help building analytics infrastructure to process data from user sensors while working out. - Work on scalability / performance problems. - Actively communicate with our existing team of Scala developers, DevOps, Front End and iOS Developers. Requirements: - Professional Experience and portfolio with Scala, Akka, and Play Framework - Minimum 2-4 years experience on challenging server-side projects, ideally on JVM platform. - Expertise in building REST APIs, distributed systems. - Experience with NoSQL databases. - Able to work in a team - Good level of English - Able to work autonomously About emaginal AG Emaginal AG is all about creating unique workout experiences for real people.
