I have a manuscript which is around 9000 words. Here is a sample paragraph of my work: Such view to knowledge and learning does come with implications for AC research. Cohen and Levinthal’s three dimensions of AC (acquisition, assimilation, and application of external knowledge) will change significantly should a situated learning view to AC be adopted. This article revisits the existing conceptualisations of AC through deploying a situated learning lens and aims at identifying the learning mechanisms that contribute to the development of AC in organisations. By doing so, it responds to the recent calls for studying the microfoundations of AC (Lewin et al., 2011) and contributes to the recently-developed process view of AC (Easterby-Smith et al., 2008, Müller-Seitz and Güttel, 2013).
