will need access to server - if you have cpanel or plesk then its perfect. i will do the update on a clone of live site and when its ok i move it to live. But i will need admin to magento also to check extensions.

Hi, I read your requirement and I am ready to start to magento upgrade. your current magento version is 1.7 and if you want to upgrade with 1.9 then it is okay but if you want to upgrade with Magento version 2.2 then we need to recreate whole website with data migration because 2.2 is totally different from current version. it's code structure is different. its cost is higher. Hi, I have a lot of experience updating and upgrading magento 1. There is two options for this procedure. a) installing security patches b) upgrading to last version (currently 1.9.3.9) for experience I have migrating from magento 1.7, we need to also upgrade/update theme and modules. it is why my proposal is too high, because there is a lot of things that could be wrong. let me know I can work per hour also, and could be better in this case. depending the amount of hours of course. we also need a staging or test environment.

Hi, I can update magento 1.x to latest magento 1.9.x version, if you dont have many plugins on your magento store, this process will go most of the times good at the first shot without further modifications to plugins needed, because know issues that can occurer are: that present plugins are not compatible with 1.9.x version Regards, Dani

Did that very thing on a magento site last year (1.7 -> 1.9 ), and it was nothing like click and update. In fact it came down to a lot of manual work, editing files by hand, creating diffs and patches. Granted it had a bunch of strange modules and some core files had been modified, but it had me working for the best part of a month to make it work. I'll need more info about files that may have been modified by hand, shell access and if possible I'd prefer to have a test platform to veify it works as expected before proceeding with the live server. Some downtime is to be expected, as the database modifications, will take some time.
