Importing images without file extensions to the Wordpress

Hi, We are trying to import a xml file which already includes image paths. But the images do not have file extensions such as .jpg , .jpeg etc.. So we are recieving errors while trying to import. Here is an sample error log; ***** WARNING: File [login to view URL] is not a valid image and cannot be set as featured one ***** ps: I'm able to view the image by copying this url to my browser. But you will not able to do it because address is IP restricted. My personal ip and servers' ip are in IP list.
