This project involves working with an older website that is built within a proprietary content management system that is not open to re-coding. Tasks required include: 1. Setting up the auto-creation of a pdf with all the data (correctly labeled) from a “Get a Quote” form submission and auto-sending this pdf to (i) the website owner and (ii) the user who submitted the form. 2. Adding an autosave functionality to the form such that the data entered in the form is updated and saved to the database once a minute (to prevent data loss during the very long form submission process). 3. Set up a simple news (or “Updates”) section using basic blog functionality. This one section will run from a Wordpress installation but will be styled and integrated via links to seem as if it is part of the original site. The posts will be simple text posts with categories assigned. There will be by-category links in a sidebar and a list of links to “recent updates” (10) and there will also be a search field to allow users to search for a topic (within the section).
