Comparison Generator
The number of products we have to compare is too many to track in order to compare features, pricing and compatibility, etc.
Database will be designed to help user make a decision to choose the best product for his needs.
It will be a simple, reusable Comparison database using Filemaker software or HTML/CSS/JS with basic JSON API.
This db can be as simple as a "Pros & Cons" chart or be similar to any simple Search Filter Grid, like Amazon, Google or Shopping Cart.
This is for 2 types of Users:
Admin - create new comparison grid database for any category of product/service
User - search, sort, filter and compare products on existing comparison grids to narrow down choices, eliminate unwanted products based on options criteria.
NOTE: I already have a basic starter Filemaker Pro database to demonstrate some of the features here I will share if you have Filemaker Software.
User (non-Admin) Functions:
1. Prompt the User to choose desired options
2. Prompt the User to choose a price range
3. Narrow all results found until no more than 4 results are found
4. Display all 4 results side by side in 1-4 columns, where each row displays feature comparison
5. Allow User to further refine found results using filters until only 1 product remains
6. Allow User to add new products missing from database
Admin Functions:
1. Prompt the Admin to select a product Category
2. Prompt the Admin to select types of option features
3. Prompt the Admin to select specific option features
4. Prompt the Admin to add actual products, manufacturers, features, links, image, contact info, compatibility, system requirements, version, training resources, demo links...
Additional Features:
1. instantly hide rows or columns of the grid w link/checkbox/button
2. filter portal eliminates columns based on features/parameters like Amazon

3. Easily reusable and flexible for any content (product, service, vendors, books, websites, etc.)
