Extracts news stories from third party website sources. Saves stories to a database. ## Deliverables Creation and storage. Extracts news articals from open sources and news web sites. adds each artical into an html template including title and metadata. stores artical in database. Output as a news feed. provides a news feed of 30 articals chronologically for onpage display. news feed comprises title, data/time, reference to original source. There will be minimal delay in bringing new story into News feed. Each new story adds at top of news feed. Each new story is added to news feed with flashing indicator to highlight new incomming story adds at top. Autorefresh may be enabled with latest new stories flashing (for say 5 seconds) to indicate new stories. On clicking each story Story opens in new plane window with vertical slider but no top toolbars. Systems will be compatible with UNIX/php. The database will be based on MySQL. Any forum synergies will be with phpbb. All stories will be spider friendly. The templates/scripts will be easily adjusted by administrator after delivery. The scripts will be based on standard arrangement and have clearly marked sections (REM statements). System takes news artical text body from source pages. (Images and formatting is removed) Displays title and text body. ? An administrators control panel will be provided. Administrator will specify unlimited url's to spider. The device should search for news articals containing particular unlimited keywords. The device will also automatically locate urls to spider based on keywords. Administrator will be able to remove unrequired urls. The device should disallow articals containing selected keywords. The device should have additional filters to prohibit articals with inappropriate content. The device should allow easy removal of articals by administrator.
