QA and making required fixes to newly built site [login to view URL] . The site works pretty well on the PC in Firefox and IE, but there are a number of bug fixes required for Mac display. The site pages are all laid out already and are displaying ok in terms of layout. Main problem is the menu behavior. The site uses an include file for the menu, so populating the menu fix across the sie will be easy. In addition to fixing the known fixes below, part of requirement is to QA on all required browsers and platforms as needed. If new fixes are required, additional payment can be made. Here's the location [login to view URL] Check out the site first on Firefox and IE on the PC. The menu is behaving correctly. If you are interested, please send 3 urls of sites you have done where you have hand coded a dhtml/CSS menu, confirming that you have onsite access to a Mac, and let me know the Mac OS, Safari version and Firefox you have running. Also please indicate what PC OS you have for the PC onsite, and browser versions for IE, Firefox and Netscape. Please note that turnaround is 3 days. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 1. All development to take place via FTP at [login to view URL] 2. Handoff of updated menu that works bug-free on PC IE 6+, Firefox 1.5+, Mac Safari 2+, Mac Firefox 1.5+ using standards compliant code. Fortunately we are using a single include file for the menu, so updating across the site will be easy. 3. QA review of site insuring that display is the same on all browsers and platforms, including flash loading. The desired effect, which is achieved currently on the PC and Mac Firefox is that the menu hides until the animation is done playing, unless the user moves their mouse. The page layout looks consistent on all the platforms, the main problem is the navigation menu. 2. Coder is responsible for testing on above browsers and platforms, and should have onsite access to computers running those browsers, not using online screencaptures like [login to view URL] as a substitute. This is because testing how the rollover menu interacts in critical, a screenshot won’t suffice. A firm requirement for this project is onsite access of a Mac running Safari 2.0, Firefox 1.5, and a PC with XP and IE 6.0, and Firefox 1.5. 3. Contact Us Form ??" form contents should be sent to desired email address Form is already laid out with required field validation, but not receiving form at mailbox. 4. Left align captions under thumbnails on [login to view URL] 5. On featured sites case studies pages, left align text under existing left edge of images above. In other words move the text, not the images above, they are in the correct place. Here's the current known bugs with the menu IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.5 on PC OK MAC Safari (2+) Extremely buggy and erratic. some of these bugs are intermittent. 1. Sometimes on rollover all submenu elements except the one with focus have a plus sign. Basically it inverts the way it is supposed to work. This is intermittent. 2. When a submenu is selected the font changes (reported on Safari 1.03, but perhaps this is not an issue on 2+. I only need this to work right on 2+ 3. Rolling on things outside of the menu area makes the submenu jump or “blink??. For example you could roll over the gradient border, or rollover the "intake discovery process" on the applications page this causes this effect. 4. On Safari 1.03 selecting about us page, then rolling over results menu results in capablities submenu being displayed. 1.03 was not great, so perhaps this isn't an issue on other browsers. MAC Firefox (latest version) 1. Put cursor over shadow on gray box, about us submenu element jumps when on that page. Same on print page. 4. Sometimes the submenu type layer, "doubles up" when the submenu item is selected. It looks like there is a layer on top of the layer. All browsers. Would like the text area field on the contact us form to show a scroll bar when needed, i.e. when the text fills up the text area, and not display the scroller when it doesn’t. It should behave like this one [login to view URL] When adding this in, please make sure the right and left edges of all the form fields line up together, as it is currently doing on the site. General Page Display Issues 1. I'm still seeing the page reloading when landing on certain pages like print, about us, strat. and methods, testimonials, and certain pages of testimonials, depending on whether one clicks from 5-4-3-2-2, or 1-2-3-45 in IE. This does not occur on Firefox, not sure why. 2. QA Site with w3 ([login to view URL]) css and html validator to insure we have complient code. Minor issues like missing alt tags on images are intended and don’t need to be fixed. 3. IE the alt tag displays on rollover of submenu. Please remove all alt tags. * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Monday Aug 21, 2006 3:40:00 PM: I have just attached deliverables in easier to read word format ## Platform Browsers/Platform support on PC: Firefox 1.5+, IE 6+, Netscape 7+, Mac Safari 2.0+, Mac Firefox 1.5+. Browser support means that page and menu will display the same on each of these browser/platforms. --- Please note -- Easier to read deliverables attached
