First, THIS job is related to some bug fixes relating to this site: [login to view URL]
The languages this site uses are: jQuery/PHP/HTML5/CSS3
The third-party libraries this site uses are:
Now, these bug fixes are not 'really' that difficult; merely beyond the scope of my abilities.
If after this job goes well I would appreciate you becoming the developer/maintainer of the site. In reality this would mean the odd job every now and then (touch up and the like) OR it might mean a complete overhaul of the site as it is now (essentially using these bux fixes to make the site functional as it needs to be, then start from scratch/optimize it).
Like all jobs I post though I need to have some sort of 'filtering' task. So I am going to list all the bugs that need fixing, and ask people to suggest a solution to the FIRST one; this is just so people don't think I am trying to get something for nothing. Also probably because all the other fixes would probably require you to have all js/php/css I have.
SUGGEST A FIX! (It doesn't HAVE to work in my case, but at least on [login to view URL] or provable in some other way.)
1. The gallery page (second main nav button from the left) uses lightgallery.js. I need it to show the loading icon until the entire image is loaded, and then fade it in.
THINGS THAT WILL NEED TO BE DONE. DO NOT SUGGEST FIXES TO THESE!
2. changeNavigationHighlightingov function in [login to view URL] does not effectively remove the div class when you select the SAME button in the book popups.
3. Remove the close buttons on the lightbox boxes.
4. The 'show the x series' button sometimes on first run 'judders'. I assume this is because it is trying to calculate viewport height, etc.
5. Initial site load content screen needs to be a 'fade' transition from the loading gif to the fully-formed page.
Design/functional suggestions are always welcome, such as:
Maybe using [login to view URL] is a stupid idea and you have something better
Maybe my site doesn't have enough browser compatibility and you have the answer
Dude! Why aren't you using css sprites! <- actually I might make this a part of the bugfix job
Whatever other things etc.
