oscmaxv2 Custom cart clears when searching for product. A new search bar and a ''welcome'' added after login

1) [login to view URL] if you login as a customer and add items to your cart, they will be deleated when you use the search bar. I would like this fixed. ** **2) When a customer logs in i would like It to say... Welcome (Customers first name). Ie Welcome Peter. I would like this placed on the home bar where the search bar currently is. 3) A new search bar and relocated under the home bar. See attatched diagram.
