Magento - Edit Tier Pricing Function

We have a website which sells photography. When purchasing photos customers can choose their style, size and frame. To add these options we are using a plugin called Advanced Product Options. Example: [login to view URL] In our shops we have a discount so that anyone who purchases the same size, style and frame will get a discount. For example, if a customer purchases one 11" by 16" matted photo it costs $55. If they purchase two 11" by 16" matted photos they cost $45 each. This is very similar to how the tier pricing currently works, but now it only applies the discount for the exact same product. We want the discount applied only related to the options. So that customers can purchase two different photos, but if they are the same options and have tier pricing then the tier pricing discount should apply. This should be carried out on the product details page, when calculating the price, as well as on the checkout and shopping cart pages. The tier pricing should be pulled from the prices we already have setup in the Advanced Product Options extension. Please let me know if there are any questions about the project.
