Linux desktop configuration (TV capture, video)

I use Suse 9.2 and would like the following to work: - support of popular video formats: MPEG-4 (xvid, divx), MPEG-2, avi, quicktime - TV card install/configure: Hauppauge bt878 (or Pinnacle PCTV Pro, per your advice) - TV capture: record in xvid format, list of channels, is programmable easily (schedule). Install a good PVR software, one like MythTV, nvrec ([login to view URL]), Freevo ([login to view URL]) or ETV ([login to view URL]) - Video editing: a software to edit/trim video files (xvid, avi), like Mainactor or Broadcast2000 I can give ssh/vnc access. Qualities: trust, efficiency, good communication.
