A nice, sleek and minimalistic control panel is needed for a VPS hosting provider. A good example is DigitalOcean's panel [login to view URL] The panel will integrate 5 main features: - Server Control - Snapshots - Billing - Support - Settings Billing, Support and partially Settings we all be using API to store and receive data from a hosted installation of boxbilling.com. VPS Control and Snapshots will be using the API of an other control panel to integrate its features. The best third-party panel to use for this will be discussed with the Developer. Basically most of the functionality will be delegated to third-party software and you will have to integrate everything under one roof using their API. I attach a list of basic features I expect to see in the panel. But it is subject to change after discussions with the developer. Hi Jim, I'm quite passionate about these types of custom integration projects and would love the opportunity to work on this. I'm also a heavy VPS user (RimuHosting in NZ, Amazon EC2 and Rackspace Cloud) so have a lot of experience as a user of these types of control panels. Based on the description you've provided I'd propose using the Laravel PHP framework for the backend and a suitable CSS grid framework for the frontend. All communication with the API would be serverside and I'd make use of AJAX to give a desktop-like experience (with graceful fallback for non-JavaScript clients).
