Single Target Motion tracking (repost)

I need directshow transform filter in C++ which will track a single object. I prefer tracking using a simple algorithm where the dynamic centroid is tracked. The algorithm has to be real time. The target can also be selected with the mouse as well and the software should lock into it. You should have some experience with tracking algorithms. The output of the software shold be displayed with a pointer indicating direction and velocity of the object. Interfacing will be done in the end so that the software can control pan and tilt unit. A typical scene would be a boat on water.
