Goal of project is to be able to lay down a file system (FAT 32/NTFS) and boot code (Win9x, NT4, Win Prof.) onto a fresh hard drive in preparation for copying files onto the drive. The typical scenario would be to take a brand new unformatted hard drive, select a file system/OS (e.g. Windows 98 using FAT32), choose the number of partitions and then have the program write the relevant information to the hard drive. Once this the hard drive should be in a state where it is possible to copy files to it using standard file copy methods.
## Deliverables
One of more .exe files (with source backup) which can take command line paramaters. The program will run under the Win9x environment as NT prohibits direct hardware access/BIOS level calls.
## Deadline information
A more detailed description will be made available should I find people capable of the job. The candidate will need a very good knowledge of low level disk access methods. FAT's, boot code, partition tables etc. A more detailed description of requirements etc. would be beneficial for all concerned and I will be happy to mail more detailes to any parties who are capable of the work.
