Landscape design for the front of our house

We just remodeled our house to make it very contemporary and modern. Attached is a photo. Also attached is a survey of our lot, showing our house footprint and driveway. We are looking for ideas on what plants and trees to install. We don't want to cover up our new exterior walls very much, so it seems like we need mostly low plants. Maybe something higher by the Areca palm to the right of the front door. Or maybe the Areca needs to go. It's been there for years and we saved it during the construction of the new front. We have three areas to focus on. The space in front of the big "picture frame" type window that is to the left of our front door, the area to the right of the front door and in front of the wall with the four windows, and the "island" between the sidewalk and our driveway. We also have a fourth area -- to the right of the house between the sidewalk and the house is a giant tree. The grass underneath doesn't grow well. We want to figure out what to put there. We live in Boca Raton, Florida. Our lot faces southwest, so except for the area under the big tree, the front of our house gets plenty of sunlight ( and plenty of rain half the year.) We're looking for an experienced landscape architect or arborist for this project. You can also try to see our house on Google Maps/Satellite view.
