(A) Quality Control for Raw material Bituminous binder: Checking of bitumen obtained from Refinery by various test like penetration test (IS 1203-1978), Softening point (IS 1205-1978), Ductility (IS-1208-1978), Viscosity (IS-1206-1978 P-2) Sp Gravity (IS 1202 1978) Bitumen Emulsion: Checking of Emulsion as per IS 8887:2004 by various test like Residue on 600 mic IS sieve, particle charge test, viscosity by say bolt furol viscometer, Storage stability after 24 hrs. Aggregate: Approval of quarry material as per IS 383-1970 & shall be tested to confirm IS:2386 ( p-1 to 7) by various test like water absorption, specific gravity, AIV test, Abrasion test, flakiness & Elongation test etc. (B) Quality Control for Highway construction. Earth work: Sampling & testing of Borrow Area soil for approval i.e. test like Free swell Index,Grain size Analysis, Atterberg limits, Proctor test,CBR testing, Field density test by (sand replacement method) as per IS 2720 P-28. Sub base& Base Course: Mix design GSB & WMM as per MORT&H specification. All the physical test of Aggregates as per relevant IS codes, WMM plant setting in order to achieve the design criteria. Dense Bituminous Macadam & Bituminous Macadam :( DBM & BC): Preparation of job mix formula of DBM & BC as per MS-2 and MORT&H Specification, including concept of Refusal density of DBM as per Technical Specification. Daily routine test as per production from plant. Marshall Stability& flow test Coating of Bitumen with aggregate. Unevenness test by Bump Integrator. (C) Quality control for concrete work: Mix design of M15, M20, M25, M30,& M35,M40,M50 as per IS:10262-1982 & IS:10262-2009, MORTH Specification, Technical specification & relevant IS: CODES. Quality Control test for coarse & fine aggregate as per IS; 383 & IS: 2386 (P-4). Mix design for concrete. Pavement concrete works: Mix design for Dry lean concrete (DLC) & PQC. Cement: Testing of cement as per IS; 8112 & IS 12269 including various test like fineness of cement, standard consistency, Initial & final setting time, compressive strength of cement mortar cube etc. (D) Calibration of mixing plant: Regular calibration of WMM plant, Hot mix plant, Concrete Batching Plant, Field density test apparatus e,g, sand pouring cylinder, Rapid moisture Meter etc. (E) Documentation work: Up keeping the record of in coming RFI, lab test result or out side-Lab test results & field density results in order to be sure before any Quality.
