Mixed Media Illustrations for Feature Film

I am looking for an artist to create 10-20 mixed media illustrations of high quality for a feature film that I am producing. The illustrations should be realistic and have an aesthetic that is unique and highly detailed. I would prefer if the artist could use a variety of mediums, including paint, charcoal, pen and ink, etc. I am looking for an artist who will be detailed oriented, creative and focused on delivering outstanding work. Need to be able to mimic different art styles. In consideration of the artist's time and effort, we have established a workflow of consistent check-ins and approvals of rough sketches: (i.) Plotting out the composition and its contents, subjects, objects, digitally first with minimal to no detail. (ii.) doing small renders of single objects, digitally to get the illustrative style. (iii.) First draft of plotting and illustrating the full image digitally (this is especially important for point perspective and lighting etc). (iv.)Final draft of plotting and illustrating the full image digitally.(v.) doing small renders of single objects with physical art materials on the physical medium mutually agreed to get the illustrative style. (vi.) First draft of plotting and illustrating the full image with physical art materials on the physical medium mutually agreed. (vii.) Final draft of plotting and illustrating the full image with physical art materials on the physical medium mutually agreed. Descriptions: (4.5) Title Cards for Overture - 9x12 or 8x10, 1940’s style Images for overture: can send digital example mockup. Mixed media. (Charcoal, paint, ink, etc) Growth of tree that we’re animating ourselves. 1st: Just ground with horizon and shadow of a shrub. 2nd: Point perspective. Shrub present casting shadow of teenage tree. Sun with clouds. 3rd: teenage tree with no shadow. Will capture image as is, and then add moss to tree and casting white shadow and recapture to complete animation. 4th: - adult snarling oak and baby oak ½: (Overlay of drawn rain) (4) Title cards for Exit Music, 1940’s style First: (B&W) Snarling trees w/road leading between them and sign reading “now leaving city limits” Second: (B&W) People of color are cutting down these snarling trees with axes and chainsaws on left side of frame, and white people cutting them down on right side of frame Third: Sunrise over the road, both groups of people planting new trees and mingling Fourth: It is now full daylight and the image is in full color. A monument is built where the town sign was that says “For the 6,500 lynched and lost between the years of 1877 and 1950. And the countless killed by some form of hate since.” This image is done on white paper and in full color. (2) Promo Posters First: Profile perspective. Alice in Wonderland/ turn of the century art style in color. 2 Preying Mantis’s that will be white dressed like the characters in a cheap plastic playhouse for kids with those cheap plastic windows. Male Mantis head on a plate, and female is cutting into it with fork and knife - she looks like she’s chewing. We see outside the window children of color trying to peek in on them. Second: Replicating 1940’s posters - reverse value, white on black paper, baby shrub casting very threatening, creepy, snarling oak shadow. Rubber hose cartoon version of Beau staring at the shrub. “Wretched Earth” painted in rough font - looks like paint thinner has been added so it’s kinda runny. (2) Album artwork for they potential vinyl album release Front: Wretched Earth in reverse value/negative style - Charles Burns - simplistic and clean. A parking lot with lamps. Some cut down tree stumps still in parking lot, paved, black character in hoodie entering his car. Back: Truck leaving carrying cutdown trees exiting parking lot.
