Hi, I read your project description. I'm not properly sure how do you want to change the text of an email while typing. Can you please elaborate? FYI, Gmail unlike other G Suite Apps don't have a direct support for Google Apps Script which means we can't associate an Apps Script directly to Gmail. Google has not provided any facility for that. But all is not lost. We have another means to add custom functionality to Gmail. We can create an add-on for Gmail which provides a GUI interface as a sidebar on the right in Gmail UI through which we can provide custom built functionality. I just recently wrote an add-on for a client which allows him to compose messages and replies using custom text. So once a client enters any custom message into the add-on it will be inserted automatically in compose message window when composing new messages or replies. I can show you a video of that add-on but there is no way for me to upload it in this interface.
