I need to be able to export data from AutoCAD drawings to an XML file. No sure it can be done from AutoCAD using .NET or Plug-Ins. If not, this project can be done in 2 parts. First, I would like to write a couple of LISP programs or Plug-Ins to create points and polygons with a few attributes both fixed and editable. Then I need to be able to export the points and polygons attributes (attached data) to Excel. Secondly, I need to be able to use an Excel spreadsheet to use the data from above. Then following an XML Schema, output an XML file. What I need for now is a proof of concept and a more functional "software / program" will be further explore. I have a limited budget for now and would prefer someone that can do the whole project but I will also consider anyone that can deliver either part. I don't mind having the 2 parts worked on independently.

Hello, AutoCAD .NET plugin or .exe can be created to the mentioned task. We can extract data from the AutoCAD drawing and place into the MS-Excel sheet and further can create XML file. XML files are usual text files, I can make the script to export data directly as XML using a predefined schema. hi there! I have worked 2 years in autocad with LISP and VBA on a project involving CAD simulation worm hob gears machining under the close supervision of coordinating professor. At that time the project was considered a fast alternative step on testing a newly designed tool. However, the project has given me an excellent understanding of the principles involved in designing using AutoCAD and the technical limitations of this software. I believe I would be in a good position to analyse your requirements and design a script.
