I am in need of a server admin who can provide advice and guidance on server setup and configuration. See below for the advice needed. Requirements: - Experience in server migration setup, DNS and configuration Ideal Skills and Experience: - Strong understanding of server operating systems - Familiarity with web interfaces - Ability to provide guidance and best practices for server administration If you have the expertise and knowledge in server administration, please reach out to me. I am looking for someone who can provide me with the necessary advice and guidance for an efficient server setup and configuration. I am looking for consulting about the below. I have a database application which resides on Unix with WHM and Cpanel server. We are going to move it to a new Windows server with Plesk. The old server we will call [login to view URL] and the new server will be called new.com. The transition needs to happen with little to no downtime. My app developer will move the database to new.com. How do I transition the [login to view URL] name to immediately be accepted at new.com. Note: I have oher webpage software that can only connect to the [login to view URL] domain name. I also will need a system to be able to access the [login to view URL] application.

So your App Developer will relocate the actual database to the new server? And I would imagine they will also relocate any web-based API/Backend code to the new server as well? Is the idea to eliminate the Unix cPanel/WHM Server and solely operate from the new Windows Plesk Server? Or will you need to keep the old Unix server as well?
