Website Assessment, SEO, Copy & Strategy

I am looking for someone to apply educated SEO principals to my website . The site has been active and online for 4+ years. It is currently a PR4, but was a PR6 until the Google shakedown around a year and a half ago. I also believe the main keyword set is not a super competitive one so this should make this doable. Currently, I’m not listed very well mainly because I am not very astute at identifying which keywords or audience I should be targeting my service to. This project as I see it has four parts to it. 1. Study and understand my website’s product offering to determine the best keyword set (obvious and long-tail) that I should be optimizing for (and who is my target audience). This would include looking at the competitive landscape of other sites ranked highly on those keywords. A brief report on this should be provided to me. 2. Identify and recommend (with specifics) the changes that need to be made to promote the keyword set. This would include, but would not be limited to the following: a. Title, description, and keyword, meta information. b. Image alt, and/or title tags (if needed). c. Link text, bolding, and/or use and placement of H1, etc. tags. d. Sales copy needed to enhance the keyword density of the keyword set. e. Secondary page naming schemes (URL). f. Placement and order of text on the page to produce a coherent description in Google. And, an understanding of what Google uses to construct the descriptions in their results. (if anyone knows). g. Any other SEO techniques or pointers not listed above. 3. Make recommendations regarding a future link strategy to further enhance the relevance and PR of the site. This recommendation should include the types of sites I should link from, sites I should not link from, and the type of link that should be used. 4. Recommend and guide me through the process of buying traffic through Adwords and/or other paid traffic sources etc. In the past I have tried to use Adwords without success. The dilemma stems from Google suggesting 150 or so keywords based on my URL...then a day later it rejecting 99% of the the very keywords it suggested. Of course Google states that if I pay $10/click it will make the keywords pertinent. I have no problem with paying for visitors as long as the conversion warrants it. A quick note about my site’s product(s). We offer a hosted solution that places a piece of JavaScript code on my client’s websites. I am able to brand and place a link on these users’ pages. This code (and link) should be looked at and tweaked as part of this SEO strategy to be best utilized in our favor. I am not asking to be SEO’d into the number one position, but my site is mature enough to be listed fairly well with the correct approach. Currently, the only keywords bringing in traffic from the search engines is my site's name...and I get less than 10 users a day from the search engines (less than 3% of my overall traffic). I do understand the rough fundamentals of SEO…but I need a fresh 3rd party SEO expert to assess and make sure I have all the bases covered. Once this project is successfully done, I will may be looking for this person to apply the same techniques to other sites I own.
