Objectives:
1. Develop a WSN application with tinyOS;
2. Improve and demonstrate your hands-on and analytic ability with real-world WSN testbed (e.g.,
FlockLab [4]) to investigate some real application.
Problem Statement:
The theme of this project is to implement a data collection application using CTP (Collection Tree
Protocol) with tinyOS. Basically, you have one sink node and the rest are sensor nodes in your
application. The sink periodically collects temperature or humidity data from each sensor nodes using
their on-board sensors (for example, every 2 minutes). Analyze your data collected at the sink for one
hour.
1. Investigate how to do data collections from real-world WSN testbed (e.g., FlockLab). Develop
your application to collect environmental data in the real testbed.
2. Investigate one of the open WSN testbeds (e.g., FlockLab or anyone you find), run your
application on a WSN testbed, describe your experiments in detail, and collect and analyze
your collected sensor data.
