TITLE : Are your shoes killing you?
Women love shoes! We wear different kinds of shoes in the morning, afternoon lunch, dinners, parties and even in different parts of our house. But do you know that these pretty pair of shoes can sometimes kill?
As more and more women reach new heights by adding inches to the heels of their beloved shoes, the balls of their foot are getting misaligned with the rest of the bones, creating not only imbalance in the body but also a future full of joint pains, joint degeneration and osteoarthritis.
Now, take a second to stand up and put your foot forward, which part strikes the ground first? If you are a modern woman wearing comfy shoes, chances are that you have put your heel first and the mid foot forward, which part strikes the ground first? So, why has this change occurred? And more importantly, how does it change things for us? ... .. (contd.)
Here are the alternatives:
1. Use shoes which are flat and are close to the barefoot movement.
2. Make it a habit to walk without shoes on grass or in your house for at least 30 minutes. This not only gives your foot strength, but let your body’s energies (ions) be stabilized.
3. Say no to heels in your shoes, whatever the temptation.
Feel free to ditch the shoes every now and then and re live the past when all that was required to walk out of house was a pair of feet! (END)
