The waves shatter against the sand The mighty ocean in all its glory Looking timeless Stretching for eternity Or so it would seem And God says If the water of all the seven oceans were ink It still would not exhaust His words The mighty ocean Proud and haughty Yet the waves that the wind causes The hugest most indestructible waves included Collapses within itself Destroyed Pride is an attribute Only God can have. This is a sample of my poetry..I have a passion for words and am a believing Muslim myself..I do write some Islamic poetry..I am currently studying BA Islamic studies..and this would be a great opportunity for me to put in use all that I'm studying..and write at the same time..which is my passion..please let me know..I'm too excited already to be working on this project

I am a writer and editor, with over five years of experience. I have written extensively about Islamic culture and literature. While I was pursuing my Masters in journalism at Columbia University, I took outside courses in Islamic studies. I wrote my thesis on the new Ms. Marvel characyer, Kamala Khan At Columbia, I wrote my graduate thesis on the new Ms. Marvel character, Kamala Khan, an American Pakistani girl from Jersey City, and how the comic overturned the prevalent assumption that Muslim women are powerless and repressed. I was one of the first to write about the significance of using a female Muslim American to be a superhero. The Los Angeles Review of Books later piublished it. Since then, I have continued to cover issues related to Islamophobia, women's rights, and the role of the arts. I am confident that with m strong writing skills, extensive knowledge of Islamic culture and history, that I could successfully fullfill the tasks required forthis project.
