Altering Image transitions in Squarespace

I need someone who can help me change the transitions of my squarespace image gallery. The current default for a fade transition fades out the first image then fades in the next. This creates a slight flash as I have a white background. I have two requests, the first is to create a transition where the current image remains at 100% while the second image fades in above that image. The second is to create a hard / strait cut transition between images.
