We have this requirement, to allow users to maintain wiki-style comments associated with items in an RSS newsfeed. A mockup screenprint of the concept is attached. The idea is not 100% fully solid, so we need a coder who can also think like a user and make usability suggestions and improvements to the initial design, to make it actually useful. The project is only 5 days long, so we expect a coder who has lots of free time to bid on this and start right away. The primary key for each of these "mini-wikis" in the database can be the title and timestamp of the article, plus RSS URL. The use of open-source wiki software is ENCOURAGED for this project. However, the Wiki must be very cleanly integrated into the proper area of the page, and if there are issues with that, it's your responsibility to fix it. This comes free with the open-source wikis, so you don't have to code it, but just to be clear: A basic user-registration system is required to implement History and other essential Wiki features. Just like any wiki, we also want unregistered users to be tracked by their IP address. If you are not familiar with Wiki technology, you should not bid on this project, because we assume you already know how a normal wiki is supposed to work, and we don't have to explain History, markup tags, linking, and other basic features of any Wiki. There must a global configurable size limit per wiki comment. The coder may choose PHP or Java for the server-side language. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux, MySQL, Dynamic HTML, Javascript, and server-side coding (PHP or Java).
