The project will be a web page. The page will have a menu that allows the user to enter a keyword and and two buttons that say, "data" and "map". If the user hits data, the script will call the [login to view URL] and scrape all results from that keyword (within a bounding box) from twitter along with the tweets geolocation. It will then parse the data and display in a nice format the data on those tweets (also possibly a button to export to csv) If the user hits "map" the script will again scrape all that information, but then it will use the twitters coordinates to plot each tweet on an online web map. With a pop-up showing information about the tweet. The map will either scrape the last 1000 (we may change this number) results. Or if possible it will be dynamic and constantly looking for that keyword and updating as it find it (i am not sure if that is possible or the extra time to implement) I would prefer a map built with Mapbox or CartoDB, but would be open to other FOSS web mapping services. I have a hosted site with php installed and plenty of storage to house any data. I also have accounts to MapBox and the Twitter API Key.

Hi there! This seems to be a project I'd enjoy doing (unlike most of the "fix my WordPress website" projects I end up doing). I say that because if I enjoy doing something I obviously put more effort into it. But enough of that. It seems to be an interesting project, I've made many web applications before but never focused around maps. I've used OSM ([login to view URL]) for a project before though and it's very well documented meaning that I'll be very easy for (me) to use. I can of course use MapBox or whatever you prefer. I've never used the Twitter API but I'm certain it too is very well documented and will be easy to figure out, since I have of course used many HTTP based APIs. You talk about web-hosting with PHP but I'm certain this project can be done entirely in HTML/JavaScript (/CSS), meaning all you would need is to host static files which is very lightweight/fast. I can complete the project pretty fast if needed, especially if I actually enjoy it (likely). I live in France and could start work tomorrow morning (my time).
