Active x object that returns if the user has screensaver on or off

I know exactly how to determine if a screen saver is active or not in a fashion that is supported from Windows version 2000 on. As you no doubt have discovered security within Javascript is such that direct access to the registry is disallowed and the workaround of using an ActiveX control is an entirely reasonable way of accomplishing that task. There is also WBEM but that is not guaranteed to be on all systems.
