TEC Cooler - Peltier - Electronics PCB

Hi, I am an electronics designer form Montreal. I am working for a company ([login to view URL]) which is doing fiber optic equipment so one of basic circuits we are using and I made so many over many years is a TEC controller to cool down laser diodes, fiber spools and bragg gratings. I mean, to make a TEC driver is one of my everyday tasks. Most of TECs I made were based on LTC1923 from Linear Technology. Where is many over chips suitable for this task: form Maxim, AD, Ti. I've been using so far LTC1923 and MAX1968. My working CAD is ORCAD/ALLEGRO. From your description I am missing information for maximum current, maximum TEC voltage, input voltage (how do you see the power interface and packaging) and required temperature accuracy. Hi I'm Chamika and Expert with electronic system design , have done several designs for manufacturing including Biomedical , Consumer , Avionics .... It is control system problem as we can tune the K gain in order to come critical damp condition where the output come to the end reference voltage without any Oscillation and it get the minimum time . we can adjust the gains heuristically but it will not optimize the controller in order to get minimum time you can visit my portfolio for more details Thank you Chamika Gamage Electronic Engineer

Hi, How are you? I am doing electronic freelance for 4 years now. I have much experience with taking this small project and providing them. And now for the project: Do you need it at Spain in 3 weeks from now ? It's a little bit tight. You want a new PCB or maybe some improvising on an evaluation board will do ? (time to produce PCB in china is 2 week. maybe if you pay more - it can be done in a less time) First, I thought to use a simple controller and to sample the temperature, and in accordance to operate the Thermo-Electric Cooler. But maybe it's better with the ADN8831 as you mentioned. or possible to do both. Anyway tell me what are your preferences (about PCB or improvisation) and we can start working. PS, I don't have any problem soldering SMT packages (also I don't like much the LFCSP package)

Dear Sir, i am so familiar with PCB design and prototyping, and understanding what you need, also i know the peltier module, but have some initial questions for you to answer: 1- you need the controller battery operated or main powered? 2- what is the size of the PCB you need? 3- will you need indication for that electronic component temperature controller?, or just to do the control function?just answer these questions, to consider for the circuit design, also i have handy work of PCB's assembly , i can send to you to take a look at, " they are one layer through hall PCB's", with different sizes, and i still can solder and assemble the SMT components waiting your response, with answers and if you have any questions Thanks in advance
