Animation 10-15 seconds -- 2

***Task to be completed in Autodesk Maya 2015*** Task: Develop a simple concept for a short (10-15 second) animated film. Establish a short synopsis and storyboard for the film. Design and build a 3D model of an object or character you intend to bring to life through animation. The object should be created through polygonal modelling techniques. Design and build a 3D environment for the object or character to sit within. The object or character should be modelled, textured, rigged (if applicable) and then animated. The environment should be modelled, textured and lit. Render the animation using Maya Software or Mental Ray. Submission Requirements: - Digital presentation - Concept / synopsis - Storyboard - Colour / precedents / visual style / sound design - 10-15 second animation named '[login to view URL]' as a quicktime file using the H264 codec - 1280 pixels wide x 720 pixels high (16:9 aspect ratio) - 25 frames per second - Final maya file Assessment Criteria: - Digital Presentation (synopsis, storyboard, concept art, precedents, visual style, sound design) - Animated Character / Object (design, modelling, texturing, rigging, animating) - Environment (modelling, texturing, lighting) - Final production (staging, cameras, editing, render quality, sound)
