survey for 3D visualization

This survey is about up-to-date medical graphic techniques that used to visualize the area of interest from medical image or so to support diagnosis. The big topic of my project is “Dynamic logic ray trace on volume to identify region of interest” but at this survey stage, we just need to write about: background of medical visualization, 3D, and volume data. For example image fusion, type of medical images, 4D … etc. Then the most important part is to write about related works in this area from the past 5 years. For example detecting different kind of tumor. Our motivation paper is : Navigated breast tumor excision using electromagnetically tracked ultrasound and surgical instruments. We are not going to do hardware as in this paper. Our work is about the computational methods to find an area of interest. Algorithms that have been used like marching cubes. For this project we are going to use 3D slicer for the future stages, so the survey has to have also some info about this program and its tools, database,….., and self experiments after downloading it and play with it. Plz keep in mind: Look on the internet on how the format of the survey is. - All sources have to be from best journals and transaction such as IEEE, ACM. - All article From the last 5 years only. - From each article, I want one paragraph to show their idea, how they implemented it (rendering…etc), the result. - Make sure no plagiarism, my professor has very strict programs to check. - I need at least 150 references ieee format. - References are very important, don’t forget the citation so then I can catch up what you have written.
