I have windows 7 on my laptop and i have a project that is related to honeypots. I installed the VMWARE on my laptop then i installed the Linux on the virtual machine and i installed windows xp on another virtual machine. I have installed XAMP server on the windows xp and i have installed HoneyD on the Linux. I have created the below configuration file for HoneyD, but there is a problem.
The problem is that the honeyd is capturing the packets and killing them before reaching to the XAMP server on Windows XP. That means if i open the browser from the windows 7 and i type http://xamp-ipaddress-of-widowsxp/[login to view URL] the page doesn't open, but if i stop the HoneyD the page opens. What i need is to run both the honeyd and able to open the webpage found in xamp of windows xp.
Windows 7 IP: dynamic taking from router(range:[login to view URL] - [login to view URL])
Linux: [login to view URL] fix
Windows XP: It's dynamic but we can put it static
