I am looking to use the BeagleBone Black processor board, to take a picture of a Pipette that has human cells in it so that I can determine if there are enough cells present to continue the sample processing. You will need to use openCV on a linux based os to do the blob and measurement analysis we will need to work closely via skype to complete the project I would prefer someone in the USA but I am open to anywhere as long as the tech has skype for communication. I have all the hardware here, and can supply a logmein connection for you to do the actual testing on. Unless of course you have a beaglebone black cpu board to use. The system will analyze the image, determine if it passes or fails and turn on an output that I will read on the primary computer. The process will not begin until I send the beagleboard and output signal from the main cpu telling it to take a picture and process it. this is the basic system as described in this article. After looking at the OpenCV documentation I am certain I can have the program up and running for you. Given the details you provided, I would implement the application as an stand-alone executable for the Beaglebone, communicating with the camera using V4L and OpenCV. my question in advance is the photo of the pipe has enough resolution for the counting, are there any light variables or reflection to consider, i mean counting cells with dilation and erosion is not a problem but need to know what are other variables are involved to measure and estimate complexity on compensation of the algorithm. please answer this asap so i can tell you if is feasible in short hours or will take more and cost based on that.
