I am looking for a Java object to be used in a larger program.
An expandable object composed of points and lines connecting these points, i.e. bars connecting 2D rotational joints. It should be able to interact in a 2D environment with gravity, and other objects with which it can make contact.
I've developed some unsuccessful examples at [login to view URL] for reference. It need only involve simple 2D physics (no curved lines, just points and struts). The final object will likely resemble a 4 legged spider.
The ideal candidate has some background in kinematics, maybe a mechanical engineer with some programming experience. It may also be possible to develop this in another language then make a transfer to Java.
