Hello, I have necessary experience for this project. I developed an application for face recognition in C# some time ago. And also I have implemented QR code decoding in another project of my own. So my solution to your project will be following: 1. We use webcam (any webcam which you can connect to your windows PC and use in e.g. Skype will work). 2. We use QR codes (simply because I have experience with this but if you want to use barcodes I don't think it will be a problem for me). 3. I suggest to use some simple and free DB to store customer cards info (could be SQLite). Or we can use a plaintext file if you wish. 4. When QR is scanned then application will play sound1 (so you see that code was actually scanned, and if somebody was to fast he will need to swipe the card again :) ) 5. When 10 swipes done (this will be configurable so you don't need to find me when you decide that you want to change it to 15 or 20) - you will hear sound2 (we can show some notifications on screen as well if you want). The whole application will be written in C# (VS2012) and will run on windows desktop. I will test it with my Windows 7 setup and it will be compatible with Vista/7/8. Best regards, Oleg

Dear there. I think we could have an server, hosting in some host provider in Australia, working as your server. I will develop app, you let your customer install them ( I could work on Android, iOS and Windows Phone), then they could login and scan the QR code (you generate and print them via our web admin) So, user come to your coffee shop, install app (if not), login and scan the code. Loyalty information will be saved Is this okay :) My bid for Android app and server work. I really serious, looking forward to hear from you Thanks & B/R

Hi, I'm professional developer with large experience in various areas including loyalty/gift cards, can you clarify who should do a scanning? If it's customer then how will you control their orders? If it's you, do you want a windows application that will do that scanning and do should scanning happen via webcam or barcode scanner (they're quite different solutions). Also who will be responsible for printing loyalty cards?

Hi, It should be easy enough if you can take a picture of the QR code and pass it to the application and application will do the rest. You can take picture from webcam or from cellphone you want, you just have to pass it into the application. Though I will set the direct connection with the webcam. Customer can use his smartphone or card, you just have to take the picture using webcam and rest will be processed by the application. Thanks Barun

I think better soultion would be magnet cards (avaiable in Australia, was searching for them for my customer).
