Need a python script made to run on Raspberry Pi 3 Headless installation. The RPi3 shall be a slave in MODBUS RS485 network . The Rpi3 has a USB to Serial converter which shall be used to connect to the network. Functions to be performed by Rpi3 1. Fetch data over modbus from PLC Mitsubishi FX5U. Shall provide the addresses. 2. Receive digital signals (5) from GPIO and send them to PLC. 3. Transmit above data to a web URL using GET or POST 4. Control DMX lighting Please remember that this is a headless installation and the program will need to start automatically on power up.

MODBUS Client to be implemented on Raspberry Pi. Have done MODBUS RS485 communication as well as CAN bus on RPi . Will be definitely be able to implement this. Will do with MS Vis Studio & not Python. The MB master & slave drivers are already done & tested on RPi3. What do we need to do with DMX lighting? Fx5u is master or slave? Will RPI3 be a MB slave? Relevant Skills and Experience A MB slave cannot fetch data. So please explain the system architecture more. Get & Post is simple to do. I cannot put more text in response due to a limit of 200 chars. Have RPi3 HW. Proposed Milestones $277 USD - initial design, after questions are answered, more details will be provided Additional Services Offered $1 USD - Can also make a native Mitsubishi FX driver in RPi3, which will make the system more native.
